And I said something like..

It was drizzling when I stepped outside the office. I need to get home right away before the rain pours down harder. Umbrellas up. Wet pavements. Traffic. People walk back and forth to get a ride. I was also one of them, waiting for a jeepney to take me home. Atlast, I was able to squeeze myself inside a jeepney. This is better rather than waiting outside and getting wet. 

As the jeepney is getting closer to my destination, I saw a small group of people on the corner of the street. The jeepney stopped. I need to pay my fare and go step down the jeep. 

Out of curiosity, I walked across the street and joined the group of people and I got shocked to what I saw. 

An old man in his 70’s is pointing a broken piece of bottle on his neck. There is blood on his front shirt. I then realized that there were SWATs all over the area. He is tying to kill himself. Suicide. One brave man went up to him. The old man steeped back while still pointing the broken bottle to his neck. 

The man tried to talk to the old man and the man shouted to the crowding people. “Kinsay nagdala ug pagka-on? Gigutom daw siya” (Who is bringing some food? This old man is hungry) A guy from a nearby cafe went up and gave the old man a burger.  The old man puts down the bottle with blood on its tip, grabs the burger and ate it. He is indeed hungry. People are cheering up as the man is saved from killing himself. 

I now then realized how lucky I am. Many realizations came into my mind. Because of hunger….he tried to kill himself.

When I started my job I was already thinking that I will soon buy a house of my own. Until I got married. Renting a space is very difficult especially if you have a baby already.

It was February of this year when my husband and I decided to buy a house. At first, we don’t agree on the location where we wanted to settle down. Of course, we also consider the budget, the location from the actual house to the main road, the transportation and the exact location where the house will be built. We found a not-so-expensive subdivision in Liloan (its actually near papakits zipline adventure). It’s a rowhouse beside Silot Bay. We decided to buy the one near Silot Bay since it has a nice view. Isn’t that great? The subdivision has a very nice view from the Silot Bay. The air is so fresh and the location is not that crowded as well. Here are some more pictures of the location. 

Now, since the house is still under construction, my husband and I are still brainstorming about the design that we want our mini abode to look like. We come to an agreement that it will be more of a minimalist design. The simpler, the better. Here, I will share the concepts (not the actual design) of what my future house will look like.

Let’s start from the LIVING ROOM. Since we want to have the minimalist effect, I want to have an L-type sofa bed like these: 

I want those large white floor tiles, black simple center table and the sofa.

Up next is the KITCHEN. I also wanted it to be neat and simple as possible. I want to have a kitchen like these :

I want to have built-in cabinets for my kitchen wares and for storage of food and everything. I want it hidden so that my kitchen would look neat. There needs to be a window in front of the stove or gas range since I cant afford a range hood.

Of course, we don’t want to miss this part of the house. The DINING ROOM. 

I’m thinking of a black set of Dining table with black chairs. Check these:

And now, my most favorite part of the house. The MASTER’S BEDROOM. ♥ I wanted it to be as plain as possible. It’s my most favorite part of the house since i like sleeping a lot. Hahaha. Inspired from the bedrooms of some famous Hotels. Check these out:

It should have less furniture and less cloth on the curtains.

There should be a built-in cabinet for my clothes, bags, shoes and accessories.

I also wanted my bed to be big and comfortable. I think it will be like this if the space in the room is small.
